About Me!
I'm happy to say this is my fourth year teaching art at Terramar. I feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful staff and community!
Here is some information about me that may be of interest to you. I have a B.A. from the University of Southern California as well as a Masters in Elementary Education from Arizona State. My art education began as a child and continues still today. I continue to take art classes when I can and especially enjoy exploring new media.
On a personal note, I have been married for over 20 years and have two children -- one in college and one in high school. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, hiking, going to movies, reading, decorating, and creating art!
Art has always been a passion of mine and I love sharing that passion with children. One of the best parts of my job is seeing the expressive qualities of children's artwork. Seeing students feel proud of their work and accomplishments is very rewarding. I strongly believe in the importance of art education in our schools. I hope to create a fun and engaging environment for children and, in turn, broaden students' appreciation of art and the role it plays in our lives.
